Community Health Action Group

The Community Health Action Group is the brains behind the project. Each activity we do originates with them, and research they do in the field. They are elected by their community, and they work in pairs.

	Diba Traoré Bow is a new mother, and as such she is very devoted to the Malaria projects and net re-treatment.
	Oumou Camara taught herself Bambara literacy. She has acted as an informal peer educator for years.
	Fatoumata Dicko Diaby is a member of the clinical committee. She is from Sourakabougou (the far end of Sikoroni) and is a fierce advocate for her community. You do not want to be on the wrong end of an argument with her.

	Alimatou Diakité Diarra is a social woman. She has arranged many events, and is the glue behind MHOP’s social events like the theater festivals.
	Abdoul Karim Diarra represents the part of Sikoroni by the river. He is the son of a leader of the CAFO, and a member of the local youth group, the JVC.
	Aminata Keita comes from the part of Sikoro that is located on the side of a steep hill. She and her co-wives have 27 children, and yet she manages to devote considerable time and energy to MHOP.
	Brehima Koné is a metal worker and the secretary of the committee. He is a very organized man.
	Alima Bah Niaré used to be the latest arrival to our meetings. Since then, she has been instrumental in developing our code of conduct and insuring that no one is late.

	Adama Traoré is one of the youngest members of the committee. He is 19, and newly married. He is the class clown, but this humor serves him well for peer education.
