  • 4000+ residents have participated in health education programs
  • 600 children receive health services in exchange for their parents' participation in community action
  • Approximately 1200 parents participate in the Action-For-Health program. About 19% of children die before reaching five years - participation in this program should reduce mortality by 90%
  • We have disbursed over 100 microfinance loans
  • 120+ single mothers and/or school drop-outs have completed functional literacy and entrepreneurship training Radio "Building Beautiful Communities" reaches 300,000 Bamako residents with programming about the challenges facing slum residents and resources available to help
  • The Malian government has committed $64,000 to build a health clinic
  • A Malian Senator who heads the Health Committee has agreed to form a sub-committee to advocate for universal access to primary health care for all
