Training

 
Every three years when the new Community Health Action Group is elected they undergo a two-week intensive training covering the following topics:

  • Leadership, human rights, code of conduct, group dynamics
  • Project evaluation and sustainability
  • Project design and implementation
  • Grassroots organizing
  • Basic biology and immunology
  • Water quality
  • Malaria and fevers
  • Worm infections
  • Respiratory problems, TB
  • HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Female Genital Cutting
  • Family Planning
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Nutrition
The trainings are taught exclusively in Bambara by Malian organizations. 
Primary partner organizations:
  • Malian Ministry of Health
  • National Center for Education, Information, and Health Communication (CNIECS)
  • Association for the Support and Development of Civil Society (ASDAP).
